For my US history class, we have to do a photojournalism project in which we examine the photography of an era on a theme of our choosing. My partner and I decided to look into how oil affects the environment as well as politics. We figured we'd use pictures of gas lines, smog, even the Iraq invasion. However, I'm finding it harder than expected to find photos of environmental problems, especially those related to oil. Does anyone have any suggestions into some photographers we should look into?Photographers Who Capture Environmental Problems, Especially as Related to Oil..?
Check out the Sierra Club. They are an environmental group that is renowned for photography. Try searching '; sierra club oil spill photo '; or ';sierra club smog photo'; and I'm sure you'll find a lot.
