No, not necessarily. It is used as any other skin creams. If you want a good product for skin problems related to the sun try using 100% pure coconut oil. Contrary to popular belief coconut oil will take the burn out of sunburn, it also takes the heat out of any burn. Please note that is must be 100% pure. It may be obtained at your local health store. I use 'NUI' brand, I have found this product to be far superior to all the others on the shelf. Yes I have tried the others and quite frankly they all smelled off.
