Problems jeep cherokee 1990 oil pump?

If your having oil pressure problems it may not be your oil pump. If it is a 4-cyl that motor has a bad problem of gumming up on the inside. Especially if you use castrol oil. Don't know why but I have seen many of them. Take the oil filler cap off and if you see allot of build up on the inside you need to flush your motor. This can be done many ways but can be expensive. So for starters find the oil pressure sensor remove it from the block and clean it out real good with kerosene or a degreaser. Replace it and you might fix the problem.Problems jeep cherokee 1990 oil pump?
