Ahhh cars run on it thats it ya !! And our economy runs on it ya !! And even though we have plenty of the darned stuff we are not going to let you have any of it ya ! Us Environmentalists are just greedy like that ya !WHAT IS THE ENVIROMENT PROBLEMS CONNECTED WITH OIL! EASY 10!?
When oil is burnt up for energy, it produces pollution. The pollution can harm things such as animals and plants and also cause global warming.
Well for starters burning fossil fuels causes damage to our Ozone and our air that we breath. Damage to oceans, rivers, and lakes when a spill occurs causes imbalance in aquatic life. Not to mention the damage that has been caused simply to obtain said oil.
Petrol being burned.
Petrol and Jet fuel etc is made with oil (obviosly), and the burning of this fuel causes pollution and damage to the earths atmosphere.
Also, things like plastics (that are created from crude oil) don't seem to break down, or biodegrade at all, or for millions of years.
One huge problem is it's direct link to Global Warming. The burning of petrol releases large amounts of ';greenhouse gases'; into the atmosphere.
