1995 pontiac bonneville oil pressure problem?

I got my pontiac bonneville last monday from a friend of mine that kept it at her farm for a long time, and barely ever used it. [she has many cars and had to get rid of them, and i needed a new one] The car runs great, but whenever i go down on my speed the oil pressure gauge goes to the red and the 'check gages' light pops up. If i get an oil change, will this fix the pressure? If not, how can i fix it? thanks.1995 pontiac bonneville oil pressure problem?
Chances are that the oil pressure relief valve which is part of the oil pump is jambed up with sludge. Also, the same thing for your idle air control valve, which is part of the throttle body. Before you change the oil, use either Seafoam (ok) or Amsoil Crankcase Cleaner (better) to renew the oil pump and relief valve. When you change the oil, use Pennzoil Platinum with the words ';GM specification'; on the back label. This special oil will refurbish old engine seals, remove more sludge, and clean things up as you drive. Amsoil Foaming CLeaner and Gum-out spray will clean up the throttle body and IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE, that have gotten stuck while the car was sitting. E-mail me back with your results. For even better results, remove the factory junk plugs and install a set of Bosch Fusion plugs. Better power, more fuel mileage. It's that simple!!!1995 pontiac bonneville oil pressure problem?
If it's been sitting a while it needs an oil change anyway. it might even be low on oil.
when it does that and your engine don,t knock change the oil pressure sending unit at the oil filter.
not much u can do about it...change oil/filter...keep coolant freah/full and drive it till she blows..
