Problems after oil change?

Well i just finished changing my brothers altima GXE 1993 an hour ago and some problems came up.





(During the oil change the oil filter was stuck on it pretty tight. I yanked pretty hard and i had a ripped the old oil filter and it leaked oil everywhere. I got it off but with a small hole in the side). thats not the problem but it might have caused something to happen.





Anyways there is loss of power, i push down the acceleration and nothing happens but the engine working really hard and rpms will shoot up then catch randomly....


Do you guys think that the oil might have gotten on something important? whats down there that would make this happen, the car is very sluggish. Please help he needs to goto work in the morning.

check if you put the oil dip stick or filler cap back on, i left it off once on a maxima and it did the same thing. If thats not it check that the new filter sat it righ and hope your dint damage the treads.Problems after oil change?

Stuck filter is a common problem. You get it off exactly like you said (drive a screw driver through it).

It is a 1993. The tranny is probably slipping. The rest is just coincident.
