If the answer to the energy problem meant the end of oil?

Should we not go there out of deference to the people in that field?

I've heard this argument and find it unsupportable. In my opinion those people don't care about other people's jobs, so why are theirs' sacred?

When my line of work became obsolete I was told to suck it up and retrain. and I did.

Should I feel sorry for the service station guy or the oil executive? I don't think so.If the answer to the energy problem meant the end of oil?
It would mean that the abrupt climate change we're experiencing right now, may let up. I'm sure all the death and destruction in the midwest is more important than a job at the gas station! If the answer to the energy problem meant the end of oil?
Personally, I think the switch should be made gradually so that it won't be a shock to those workers. If there could be another viable energy source that did not pollute as much as oil, though, then I think that those people would be able to get jobs within that new industry too if it is well planned out.

I don't think this will happen, though, until an actual energy source is found that is as good as oil, because I don't believe that the world supply of oil will run out- it will probably only get more expensive.
Sorry but we will never run out of oil. It is part of photosynthesis with all plants, which recycles the oxygen. Part of the same cycle the plants keep the C and when the plants die and wash down the river to the delta. Where it will deteriorate into fossil fuel. In this case it is not fossil animal but fossil plants. Where do U think our present fuel supply came from,it is plants. All oil is the plants capturing the energy from the sun and making it into oil.
If you ask me the very industrial age era started because of race for superiority at war and the luxury that we experience is just its drizzle and even now no military department complaining of high fuel price is because we bear the grunt.

when you talk about energy how we human doing fine with natural energy long before fuel and still can sail and ride on horses and and rule from a distand land why cant we go to basic with a little ecception here and there
Well there's a situation that sucks.

Nothing worth not ending oil over. Surely you can get another job if all you did before was sell gas and beef jerky at the pumps.
I think electric cars would be ideal. Just imagine how cheap they are to run and maintain :)

I've had to retrain for jobs before also .. I did it, I don't see why people in oil couldn't as well.
If such an answer were to be found there would be no stopping it. The capitalists will provide it if there is a demand.

Why does america real problems like the fact that we're killing people overseas 4 oil, does always have to be

hide or diguise with things like migration, and stuff like that. that way they can distract our attention... sadly we bite it everytime.. or simply dont careWhy does america real problems like the fact that we're killing people overseas 4 oil, does always have to be
It's because white Americans are dumber than sheep. They'll buy into anything that's told to them. That's why they reelected that baboon into office. If they had half a brain, they would see that this war is going to get us in the end.....Why does america real problems like the fact that we're killing people overseas 4 oil, does always have to be
There both important issues, your grammer sucks and GO TROOPS.
Immigration has been a real problem for some time.

Issues like abortion, gay marriage, school prayer, and flag-burning are better examples of the kind of hot-button distractions used by politicians to avoid more pressing (and difficult) issues.
who is ';we're';...are you refering to yourself?
You're right ! Most people don't care and think that the greedy *** corporations, %26amp; politicians have total control. And they will, until we all wake up to the real reality show going on all around us. That show will be our demise, if we don't all get out and vote. Voting is a right %26amp; privlage, but it should be a requirement if you want to remain an American citizen. Pretty sad when more people vote for talent show TV BS, then for the person who's suppose to be running the country. Look what happened !!! We have an idiot leading sheep to slaughter, because we've been misinformed, and so easily side tracked on less important problems at election time. But all the voters can't be blamed. The non-voters have the wake up call, let's see if they wake up, or continue zoning on utube %26amp; video games, before we're all in the toilet.
You are doing exactly what you are complaining about....trying to ';distract attention'; from one of the single biggest issues facing America today...

A country as big as the U.S. has to be able to ';multitask';...we cannot bury our heads in the sand and ignore illegal immigration merely because we have lots of issues to deal with.

BTW, if you want to talk about those issues, there are forums or ';Answers'; sites for that...this is an IMMIGRATION forum.
We're fighting equally against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as we are about the immigration problem. Finally, people are not letting the government distract us from the real causes.

Everyone needs to keep writing, e-mailing, faxing and calling their representatives about every issue. Do not let up.

Unfortunately, CT, where I am embarrassed to say I live, is pro-Bush. I will not give up though. I keep up the correspondence every day. Some day they'll listen.
1) It isnt and has never been for oil

2) Its a war and people die in wars

3) Why dont simple Liberals understand?
I'm not an American and English is not my mother tongue. Somehow I think I speak and write better than you...mmmmm..
And here you are trying to down play the problems with illegal immigration, using the Iraq war as the bait.

Yeah we're not happy about the war, but you know what, illegals are a problem too, so is the cost of healthcare and higher education. We discuss all of them, search YA you'll find them in their proper sections, this one is IMMIGRATION... so we discuss that.

Oil furnace problem?

I never had a Oil Furnace that would not give me trouble..

New house same problems..

I hit the reset button and the furnace turns on... clicks alot smoke comes out of it.. a minute later it shuts off.

It was running last month when i moved in then it got warm again.. sticked the tank and there is oil.Oil furnace problem?
You said the furnace will run for a minute once it is reset then it quits again....What would need to be done is to check the nozzle and the electrodes to make sure they are clean and properly set...also the eye that is mounted on the transformer needs to be cleaned or changed ...the oil filter needs to be changed yearly...if you are not capable of doing these repairs call a service tech soon. Do not keep going to the furnace and repeately reseting the primary control..this could cause the furnace to build up excess oil in the firebox and cause an overfire situation ....Oil furnace problem?
It sounds like the oil filter or nozzle is dirty. The unit probably needs to have the routine maintenance performed on it. Oil furnaces just require more maintenance than other types. For a guide you can check the furnace page at my source. You may need to get a service call if you cannot do the maintenance yourself.
If its a new house get in touch with however installed it , must be under warrenty.
Rich's answer is correct, oil furnaces need to be serviced ever year, the nozzle and oil filter should be changed before the start of each heat season, and adjusted in with proper air intake, never try to make it 2 seasons without getting this done, some people can do this there self but most need a qualified experienced service technician to perform the routine service, usually it cost around 200 dollars for the complete service, good luck ,,,,oh yeah,, never hit that reset more than 2 times , if it does not start . it will load up on oil and could be very dangerous, and burn your house down,,, good luck.
Seems to me that your nozzle is clogged up, when oil is delivered I recommend that you shut of the heater prior to delivery and for about 30 mins after this prevents oil sludge from getting into the oil line a fouling the nozzle. As far a fixing the immediate problem you should call a service tech.

the radiator has the trans coller built into it and its cracked in the seperator wall needs new radiator. There is transmission oil in my radiator how is it getting in there is it a serious problem?
    Bad radiator

When I check the engin oil.I smell very strong gas smell mixup with the oil. What the problem?

Sounds like you have gas in the oil :)

Usually that's from bad rings. The fuel will be able to get past rings and into the oil. Try using some chemicals like Sea Foam or similar at the auto parts store to clean the rings. It may help if they're just gummed up and sticking, but if they're clean and shot out then you need new rings...

Oh, also try some ';honey oil';, it's super thick oil they sell for problem cars and it helps seal the rings. There is also some stuff called ';Restore'; it helps seal too. I'd run the cleaner, then the Restore, then after 20 miles or so add the honey oil. Good luck! When I check the engin oil.I smell very strong gas smell mixup with the oil. What the problem?
gas shouldn't be mixing with engine oil, water yes (bad head gasket or head) but not gasoline. I would suggest changing the oil and checking the viscosity to see if there is any thinning due to dilution. Some car information and history would be nice also.

Will a AEM dry cone filter solve problems with JET aftermarket MAF sensor. oil based filters void warantee?

my truck 2000 chevy blazer ZR2 with cold air from K%26amp;N and performance muffler and chiped and removed CAT. looking at Jet performance MAF sensor but have looked deep into problems with oil air filters. hoping that a AEM dry cone filter will have better results. any informations regarding these chips and filters would be helpfullWill a AEM dry cone filter solve problems with JET aftermarket MAF sensor. oil based filters void warantee?
If you have removed the cat. you have totally screwed your emission system. The maf (mass air flow) sensor must get the proper air flow or the computer will not give the correct fuel mixture and the O2 sensors that work with the cat. and are missing will give no readings to computer so it will be a miracle if it even starts. Oil air filters will clog tha maf and it will give false readings. Performance mufflers are a joke, all they are doing is making more noise.
