Why do materials made from natural resources have less disposal problems than materials made from crude oil.?

natural materials can be produced very quickly and decompose very quickly (1 -100 years) crude oil takes millions of years to form, and takes millions of years to decompose. Why do materials made from natural resources have less disposal problems than materials made from crude oil.?
Well...strictly speaking, crude oil is also a natural resource. Oil is the result of accumulated remains of dead animals and plants that have been subjected to great pressure and heat over a very, very long time.

A *renewable* resource it isn't, though. Due to the extremely long time oil takes to form, we can't realistically expect to see any noticeable quantity formed while humankind is still around.

The main disposal problems of oil is that as we burn it, all the carbon in the animal and plant remains is released over a short period of time. This increases the CO2 content in the atmosphere, leading to the heavily published greenhouse effect.

Whereas a renewable source of energy will either not release any significant amount of CO2 (like solar, wind, hydro) or only release CO2 that was recently ';taken out'; of the atmosphere (like biomass, biofuels). Why do materials made from natural resources have less disposal problems than materials made from crude oil.?
Oil is ';a natural resource';. Oil is but dead and rotted life forms. The ';disposal'; problems are basically the result of people worrying about that which is not happening. Once its buried, it is disposed of. That's what happens with everything on earth. Rocks, trees, dead plants and animals all simply reenter the earth.
