Motor problems sludge in oil?

So far I've dropped the oil and replaced with straight tranny fluid the lifters have quited down but how long can a motor last like this on idel only no driving I need to clean out pounds of sludge and it's breaking down slowly does any one know about this or are we all guessing?Motor problems sludge in oil?
Think about this one a minute. You've got an older engine that

someone ( at one point in time ) never changed the oil or

ran it hot all the time. Now you decide to get rid of sludge that's built up over all of these years. The oil pickup screen, the oil filter, as well as the oil pump and entire engine is going

to pay the price here if you continue with that straight tranny fluid and a petroleum type cleaner. If you remove those valve covers or that valve cover you

might even find plugged up oil drain holes in the head that are slowly getting smaller and smaller.. I'd start off by removing the valve cover and assessing your situation here.

Then, dump that oil , change the oil filter, replace with the original specified oil like 10w/30 or 10w/40 and keep the

engine running as well tuned as possible. You open up a can

of worms and you will find a can of worms...You failed to mention what kind of vehcile you've got here.

Just something to consider... Good luck...Motor problems sludge in oil?
there are many guesses to this problem but i think it is the alloys in the engines aluminum motor.

i would put kerosene mixed with 40 wt oil as a cleaner instead off tranny fluid.
do what marvin said. that kerosene will clean your engine, but dont leave it in too long.
