What are the problems dealing with oil in venezuela?

Bush, Cheney and Pat Robertson don't want to deal.

They want to TAKE!!!What are the problems dealing with oil in venezuela?
Getting paid in Dollars? What are the problems dealing with oil in venezuela?
It's in the hands of a dictator, a situation somewhat like it was in Iraq when Saddam Hussein ruled. Unlike Iraq, Venezuela is in our own hemisphere, virtually our own backyard.
the oil is very thick in the orinco basin and not sweet crude. it takes more to refine it but supposedly there is alot of it. chavez wishes to nationalize the oil in venezuela and cut out the international oil companies. other than that i see no problem with their oil except for the fact that we have made enemies with chavez and he'd rather sell it to the chinese than to us
Venezuelan oil is bitter crude.

Thick and rife with sulfur.

It takes a different kind of refinery to turn it into usable fuel.

We have refineries in our fuel production matrix that deal specifically with that type of crude.

If we lose that import, those refineries can't make fuel even if the sweet crude supply went up.

That, is the number one problem.

Add to that the fact that the Chinese can import as much as we do, the nut case running Venezuela does not need us as a customer. He is not a good business man and he might cut us off to make a point and not care that his people suffer.

He is perfectly willing to let them sacrifice for what he thinks is the greater good.

Sounds like Hillary, doesn't he?
Another ';rogue'; government in the way of the thirsty American oil ogre....give me more, more money, more possessions, more McDonalds, more SUV's....*slurp*
Hugo Chavez
An opressive communist government
No problems if that clown Chavez and his butt buddy Castro were both to meet with an ';unfortunate accident'; !
Chavez is apparently dealing with both Russia and Iran.
