My 2001 civics maintence light wont go out When they ran a test they could find no problems (eng. oil. ect.) y

Get a new mechanic. The computer tells what the light is on for... your mechanic doesnt know what he's doing. My 2001 civics maintence light wont go out When they ran a test they could find no problems (eng. oil. ect.) y
On Honda vehicles the maintenance light usually relate to oil change. The light is triggered by the odometer. After you perform the necessary tune up you have to reset it manually. The owners manual show you how to do it...My 2001 civics maintence light wont go out When they ran a test they could find no problems (eng. oil. ect.) y
they always do that cause my mama had the same car and problems you had and the people said the same thang to my mama. and boy did my mama got mad when they said they dont see nothing wrong.last week she traded her car in cause she got tired of it so i think you should do the same thang
Have your mechanic to check the system for an open circuit. Next, have your computer reset. Most cars today come with a time/mileage service interval. This works with the amount of miles a car is driven, and once the preset mileage has been reached, a light will come on letting you know that it is time for service. A proper service tech will know to reset the computer once the service has been completed.
detach the battery cables from the battery and re-attach.

The light should be gone, however, you'll need to reset the radio.
On most Hondas, if you look to the left of the maintenance light, there should be a small rectangle. Push on this with a key and the red mark will turn green.
Probably needs to be reset! Did you look in the owners manuel? The maintence light is really only used for oil changes!
here is the best answer.turn key on so all lights on dash are on.dont start it.push in reset button on gauge cluster, maint.light will flash, hold it until light goes out.if it doesnt work the first time try again.
