French horn oiling problems?

All of my french horn valves and stuck and froze and just will not move at all. It is a double horn. It hasn't been played in a little over a year. I have tried oiling it much. It does nothing. I read on here to use WD40 but then other people say don't. Any suggestions? Please write soon! Your help would be very much apperciated! Please though, do not joke. This horn was costly and I do not want it screwed up anymore. If you can use WD40, where should it be sprayed? Thank-you!French horn oiling problems?
Don't use WD-40! If it hasn't been played in over a year, most likely the valves are rusted in some way, which makes oiling pointless. I suggest you take it to the shop--it sounds like you need penetrating oil. A specialist will fix it and clean the rust for you.French horn oiling problems?
