Hi, i checked all of the controls and had them tested all are working fine do you have any other suggestions?Hi, my oil boiler it lights with no problem and than about quarter of the way the flame goes out?
Does the burner motor go off when the flame goes out? You might be drawing air in through a crack in the fuel line or maybe have a flare fitting or compression fitting that isn't sealing properly. Where are the tank and filter located? If they're outside and it's cold enough, the fuel could be partially gelling up in the filter housing and thus giving an intermittent supply of liquid fuel. How old is the pump itself? A pressure gauge in the test port on the pump should show a rock steady 100p.s.i. with the burner running. That's for starters. Could be more.
