Has anyone had any problems with a cutlass 96 model oldsmobile, getting water mixed in with the oil somehow ?

Blown head gasket . You don't say how many miles are on car --if bought new-- or how it is driven -- all factors to this problem, and a reason my last olds was a 70s 442.Has anyone had any problems with a cutlass 96 model oldsmobile, getting water mixed in with the oil somehow ?
If you have a 96 model as in 1996 then you probably have the 60 degree chevy V6. They are famous for head problems and blow gaskets and crack heads hand over fist. Either one lets water into the oil. If you haven't driven it too much this way it might not be hurt yet. Get a shop to do a pressure test and see if they can determine what exactly is wrong. It usually costs from $800 to $1200 to fix.Has anyone had any problems with a cutlass 96 model oldsmobile, getting water mixed in with the oil somehow ?
Before you blame the head gasket, you should check the intake manifold. Its the big part on top of the motor. It may be leaking as well, especially if you have overheated the car recently. The intakes are famous for that problem and the repair wont involve a complete rebuild. If its not the intake, and it is the head gasket, you have to remove the intake anyway.
I think you mean cutlass 98 but anyway, if there's water in your oil it means you have a cracked head gasket, or somebody put water in your oil but I have never seen that before.
Actually, the most common problem with this vehicle is the intake gaskets crack and let coolant into the crank case. They are made of plastic and rubber and they fail quite frequently.
I would have to agree with theo on that one. also have you had your engine rebuilt recently? might have been a dodgy mechanic
