TOYOTA MRS 2001 Model engine oil problem?

engine oil in My MRS disappears.(engine looses oil) .what's the problem? what brand of engine oil should I use?TOYOTA MRS 2001 Model engine oil problem?
It could be 2 things. When you park your car for the night, place a piece of cardboard underneath the engine area of your car. This way you can see if you may have an oil leak.

Whether you do or not, as engines get older the rings that help keep the oil out of the cylinders start to wear and oil can get into them and burn up with the gas and oxygen.

If you lose oil quickly then it may be time for an overhaul.

Also as engines get older you should go to a heavier weight oil. Take your car to the dealership for an oil change and get their recommendation.TOYOTA MRS 2001 Model engine oil problem?
It could be a worn out engine, or like a 93 ranger I had,it used lots of oil and didn't smoke at all.The engine had 120 thousand miles and it had a burnt valve on the left head and then the right head blew a head gasket.I found a set of new heads cheap and that engine quit using oil and ran like new.So some times it is worth doing a valve job when a engine is using too much oil.Hope this helps you, good luck
It will be burning it.

Oil grade is 15w40
