I have oil leaking from the bottom of my dirt bike. It is most likely coming from the oil drain plug or the gasket in the middle of the lower engine. I really don't want to take apart the bottom end. Is there any way to find out which place it is leaking from ?Dirt bike engine oil leak problem?
Clean the area real good with some sort of degreaser or solvent (contact/brake cleaner works well). Take it for a ride stop and check very frequently to determine where it is coming from. Another trick is to clean it and dust the area with baby powder, then ride it checking frequently, the oil wet powder just makes the source more visiable.
Of course, you could just put a new crush washer/gasket on the drain plug and see if that takes care of business.
