What is the current problem with the energy crisis? what is the problem with oil and going green?

what do you think the problem is right now and what is your solution to it.What is the current problem with the energy crisis? what is the problem with oil and going green?
It's not a matter of going green, but using less energy to do the same thing. There really isn't much of an energy crisis in the rest of the world...that's an American phenomenon.

If you live in the US, cut your energy consumption by 60-70%. The American lifestyle is way out of sync with reality and can be curbed fairly easily. I've lived in the US all my life and have retired in Italy with the same standard of living, but use 30% of the energy I consumed in the US. Dishwashers and washing machines heat their own water rather than draw on a 40-50 gallon tank...we do the same stuff with a 25 gallon tank and do not have a 50' run to get hot water. We bought a combo washer-dryer but found out we never use the dryer, but use a small, collapsible clothes hanger thingy we periodically set up in the bedroom. Clothes dry naturally in a few hours, or overnight.

We don't drive because there's 50-60 buses an hour just outside our door and we don't need a car. People live close to work and do not commute an hour or two each way. Get small cars and DUMP your 10 MPG Chrysler SUV. Move closer to work like my son did in San Jose. Live in a 1,500 sq ft house rather than a 3,000 sq ft monster that take a jillion bucks to heat. We take the train, we don't fly. the list goes on and on...stop being such wasteful pigs. What is the current problem with the energy crisis? what is the problem with oil and going green?
The problems are vast and various with little compromise or common sense on all sides coal and electricity being a prime example

wind farms are being rejected all over the country by the same people who say we need to go green, apparently they are dangerous to birds of prey who might fly into them despite the fact their eye site far exceeds ours

coal even clean cola is rejected nuclear is rejected,, sorry but we need to get our energy from somewhere and the only response from environmental groups are we need to cut back???

How, our population is growing, especially our older population, the need for electricity is going to continue to grow.

Fuel is going to be required

simple fact

people need to take their heads out of the sand period and instead of being critical come up with some constructive ideas
What problems?

Look in the real world.
